You'll need to edit the showroom.ini file to point to where you have Eve installed to.Windows - Latest Version (1.6) Here
Linux - Latest Version (1.4) HereUpdated 2006-12-21: v1.6, quite a few bits in this release:
* added options for specifying the background image and/or background colour (so you can have a solid colour for the background
* I'm now printing out some OpenGL stuff (like version and extensions). If showroom doesn't work on your PC, please post or email me the lines that start "OpenGL". (That goes for you guys with the GeForce 4 especially)
* Added the Hyperion
* Added the race logo to the bottom left, can be configured in the showroom.ini file, please let me know if it got the faction ones right, I did it from memory late at night.
* Reduced the amount of logging it produces
Updated 2006-11-05: v1.5, Finally figured out how to make the transparent bits of the ship look good. Looks like I forgot to update the version number in the titlebar again.
Updated 2006-11-04: Uploaded a Linux build. Let me know if you have any success/problems with it.
Updated 2006-11-03: v1.4 released. Lots of goodies.
1. Finally the ships are round the right way. (turns out I could do it with 1 line of code Surprised)
2. You can click and drag to rotate the ship (press enter to turn auto spin off).
3. You can use the mouse wheel to zoom.
4. Added the showroom.ini file. Contains simple settings, width and height of screen, whether or not to go fullscreen, and the path to eve, so you don't have to choose it each time.
Updated 2006-11-02: v1.3, brought back the directory chooser.
Updated 2006-10-29: Fixed the download.
Updated 2006-10-28 11pm: OMG, 2 updates on the same day, I'm too good to you people Very Happy. Added shader caching (that means the models load much faster now). Also fixed updated the .blue parser to handle Kali blue files and added the 7 new ships to the ship list. (Press , to jump to the end of the list and see them).
Updated 2006-10-28 3pm: Finally, a new version. Fixed the bug with the Arazu and the Nidhoggur. Also added the Thanatos. Just the Crane and the Maller are missing now.
So I've decided to release it.
My Showroom application. It lets you view all (actually, most, there are a few that are missing) of the playable ships from Eve.
It's in no way finished, it's missing any sort of overlay for what ship your currently looking at, and some models still don't look right (orange megathron anyone?). Also there is quite possibly a memory leak in it, but I'll be damned if I can find it, I think it's in glib.
Keys for using are:
,/. - Prev/Next model (they could take a while to load)
Arrow keys - spin model around
Enter - toggles the auto-spinningIt is writting using OpenGL 2.0.
